She goes to the President and asks for support but he refuses. She then makes her speech and talks about the things in West Africa. The President supports her and so does some other countries. Elizabeth continues to look into her predecessor's death. Isabelle tells she discovered that he had a bank account in Venezuela and that one of the persons who has access to it is Nadine. She confronts Nadine about who says she knows little about it. Elizabeth decides to go to Venezuela on a mission to convince the President to allow elections. When he refuses to let her come, Daisy says that if a baseball player who is of Venezuelan extraction comes with them, the President will allow them to come. So Elizabeth approves her plan. Before leaving Elizabeth instructs Matt to tell Russell what she wants him to know and see how he reacts. Elizabeth asks Stevie to take care of Allison while she and Henry are away. When the police respond to an alarm at the house of a Bahrain diplomat, they find that they're holding a woman captive. The police arrest him but he asserts his diplomatic immunity. Elizabeth wanting to see the man punished decides not to honor his immunity. She is warned that this could affect their base in Bahrain. Eventually the Bahrain stands by the diplomat, a member of the Royal family goes to meet with her and it turns out she knows him and asks for his help. But in the end he gets the man sent back to Bahrain. But when he decides to prosecute the man he is shot and Elizabeth must decide if she should go to his funeral. Henry's dad comes for a visit and it turns out they don't have a good relationship. But Elizabeth asks him to try for the sake of the children. The Chairman, who appears to have it on for Liz and/or the program, reveals that one of the people involved with the program is embezzling. Now Liz wants to know how her staff overlooked this. She brings in a guy to help her and he advises her to fire her entire staff but she decides to wait. She continues to learn more about her predecessor's death. An American soldier is sent to Turkey on a covert mission pursuing the person who might know something about what happened to Secretaty Marsh. But the man is killed. And the Turkish government releases a press release saying that the Americans were conducting an op on Turkish soil. Of course the Americans deny it. But Elizabeth goes to Turkey to try and get the man's body. The man's mother is screaming her son was on a mission. Elizabeth offers to let her accompany her. Jason attacks a boy at his school who insulted his mother. The school says that unless Jason apologizes he will be expelled. She talks to the congressman and tells him he overstepped his bounds. The congressman goes to Bolivia himself and is taken captive. When the Bolivians refuse to help because of an op the US conducted Elizabeth goes to the President and she thinks Henry should talk to the leader because he's a religious scholar. When Elizabeth confronts her former friend Juliet, she flashes back to when then-CIA Director Dalton offered her a job that would have changed the course of her life. Also, Stevie and President Dalton's son, Harrison, begin a relationship that will have consequences.
