Employees of the Idyl Hands games company super-smooth Leon, nervous Josh, ex-junkie Watto and - to a lesser extent - dim posh boy Ewan have produced video game Cat Factory and made £246,000 by selling it to an American corporation. Their first step is to visit Josh's parents, where his gift to them is trumped by Leon's but whilst the other three splash out Josh is concerned that sales are not ass good as they should be. Worse is to come when a friend of Watto, Ross, claims he was the inventor and a law-suit is threatened, leading Leon to take drastic action to buy him off. Written by don @ minifie-1

The quartet's luxury life-style in their new mansion is interrupted by a visit from Casey, demanding they create a follow-up game and by a letter from their old school, requesting an inspirational talk . Leon uses the latter as an excuse to boast about his wealth and to confront Mr Young, the teacher who said he would never amount to anything, but he gets a rude shock, leading to an uncharacteristic act of generosity. Josh also donates sixty grand to charity in order to win back old flame Abi from characteristic new boyfriend Greg but he is no more successful than Watto in his efforts to buy a band or Ewan as he attempts to gain self-confidence. Unimpressed by the boys' new game the ruthless Casey demands job cuts at the company but Josh is more concerned to learn that his parents have returned home early from their holiday with mother Linda seeking a divorce in the light of the money given by Leon, who now attempts to save the marriage - a gesture which goes wrong. Leon is, however, more successful in dissuading Casey from making redundancies and curing Watto of his addiction to Toby jugs. Watto's errant mother Pam, whom he has not seen in years, turns up for his birthday, getting his age wrong and claiming to be a millionaire herself due to her lint factories in India but Ewan is wary and thinks she only wants to cash in on her son's fortune. Since nobody else believes him he sets a trap to expose her but it goes wrong and eventually Watto learns the hard way after an attempt to relive the past. Meanwhile the Emperor, overall head of Casey's company, arrives to learn about the boys' new game. At a restaurant meeting he seems positively indifferent though and it is Abi who saves the day. In an effort to get his colleagues to come up with a new idea Leon takes them for a trip on his luxury yacht, along with Casey's PA Naomi and crew-man Calum, the only competent sailor, who takes a fancy to Ewan. Problems arise when the boat is grounded, Leon discovers that its previous owners died in a suicide pact and Josh wrongly believes that Abi two-timed him. Leon is thrilled to be on the Red List, of the most successful young entrepreneurs, whilst Ewan's new boyfriend Callum convinces him that he is being exploited and should fight his corner for recognition. Meanwhile Watto befriends a stray dog which is terminally ill and devises a bucket list for the dog, which sadly goes awry. Josh takes Abi to an investor's meeting and is vexed when the handsome Graham appears to come on to her whilst buying her ideas so he sets up a fake rival firm to impress her. Leon takes Casey to the Red List function but is disgusted to find it based on nepotism before discovering that Casey has been working on a plan of her own to keep Idyl going. Casey takes Leon to an Expo to launch the new game but Watto, sickened by the money made, decides to give it away for free, with only the sequel to Cat Factory to promote. However it has been produced by Casey behind the lads' backs and there is a split in the group after the sacked Watto causes a riot by throwing money into the Expo's audience and Josh, Abi having discovered his new 'company' quits.
